Sausage was born on February 2nd 2004 in country side of The Netherlands. As you have probably already figured out, he is a Dachshund or Wiener Dog.

We found him at a pet store in the outskirts of Amsterdam. Despite having only just arrived in the country ourselves, we took him home and named him Sausage.

While in Amsterdam, Sausage developed into a true Amsterdam dog. His time was split between riding around in the basket on the front of his dads bike, and sitting in front of our living room window watching the boats sail down the canal.

Just before Sausage's 1st birthday, it was time for us to return to Australia and thus began Sausage's epic inter continental journey and his transformation into: 'Sausage the jet setting Wiener Dog'.

Sausage has adapted very well to his new home. He loves life down under, and while he does miss the canals of Amsterdam, he has discovered a new passion: digging.

Sausage personally inspects each and every collar to make sure that they get his tick of approval.
